Daci Temple is just next to Taikoo Li. Daci Temple is the landmark in Chengdu with over 1,600 years history. During Ming dynasty, most of its buildings were destroyed by a calamitous fire and then reconstructed during the Shunzhi era of the Qing dynasty. It had been classified as a cultural heritage in Chengdu, but officially open to the Public. You could have the chance to appreciate the Buddhist sculptures and traditional Chinese paintings in the temple.

#8 is a Sichuan Restaurant with the worldly renowned Sichuan hotpot and other authentic local dishes. Fangsuo Book Store is located at the underground level of the commercial streets in Taikoo Li, which surrounds the Daci Temple. It is inspired by Sutra Depository where many books and sutras were stored. You need need to go through a secret tunnel that leads to an unknown underground world to enter the bookstore. The bookstore offers plenty of sitting area where people can have a great reading experience and enjoy the peaceful moment.
