HEM is the first art museum dedicated to celebrating Southern China's regional culture. "HE" comes from the founder He Jianfeng's last name, meaning harmony, balance and union in Chinese, thus inspiring the Museum's design and exhibition concepts. HEM boasts He Jianfeng's family collection of over 400 works by Chinese and international artists, including indigenous art, notably paintings by the coastal Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan provinces. The museum is an amazing celebration of Southern Chinese culture, and is a must-visit before arriving at the % Arabica Roastery inside.

Guo Ran Ju

Shunde district in Foshan of Guangzhou province is the origin of Cantonese cuisine. Guo Ran Ju is a Cantonese restaurant with a beautiful garden that represents the food culture of Shunde and the architectural culture of Lingnan. Lingnan architecture comprises local architecture and influences from neighboring Southeast Asia regions, such as Singapore and Indonesia. Soup is a big part of Cantonese culinary culture. Guo Ran Ju serves great fish soup with kudzu root and pork, slow cooked for two hours to get a rich flavor that also nourishes the lungs. This soup was awarded at the China Chefs Festival.

Foshan Ancestral Temple, is a must-visit attraction and is located around the corner from our Lingnan Tiandi location. Originally constructed during the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty, this 600-year-old Taoist temple has intricate carvings, stone bas-reliefs, and a vast collection of over 2000 statues. As a former Taoist temple and now the Foshan Municipal Museum, it offers insights into Buddhist heirlooms and the city's fascinating past. Martial arts enthusiasts will find delight in the temple's martial arts performances and thematic exhibitions dedicated to Foshan's renowned association with Kung Fu, paying homage to legends like Bruce Lee.
