Designer's Note
“Toronto is a city renowned for its advancements in technology and the space industry, so we chose ‘Futuristic’ as the design motif.
We created a simple yet sophisticated kiosk featuring an exterior made of mirrors and linear lighting. The retail display’s top and bottom surfaces are mirrored, creating a floating effect reminiscent of outer space.
Located at the center of the Eaton Centre corridor, directly connected to the subway entrance, the kiosk will see high foot traffic. We designed the kiosk with a wide opening to ensure visibility for other tenants and to allow customers’ eyes to pass through seamlessly.
Mirrors of varying materials have been deliberately incorporated into the surrounding design to emphasize the ‘Futuristic’ element, creating a symbolic store that is recognizable as % Arabica from every angle.”
