Designer's Note
“Being one of the oldest cities in the world, Amman stands between tradition and modernity, boasting a strong coffee culture and a rich architectural heritage characterized by the primordial use of white limestone.
We have anchored the store’s design in this local white stone, enhanced with vertical wood joinery to infuse a hint of Japanese aesthetics. Central to our concept is the staircase, alongside a rugged curved stone counter, a key design feature that encapsulates the whole space.
The staircase not only serves as the store’s vertical connection but as an architectural volume that integrates shelving, seating, tables, and lighting that extends to the ceiling of the upper floor, harmonizing the pristine white modern shell with the warmth of wood surfaces.”
