Li Garden is a traditional Chinese garden with a beautiful legend. Fan Li was a very meritorious senior minister of the state of Yue, however he fell in love with Xi Shi, one of the Four Beauties in ancient China, and decided to live in Li Garden with her after achieving all his missions. The garden is surrounded by Li Lake which is named after Fan Li, as well as the garden. It has four seasons pavilions: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter Pavilion that are all in the same style. A special type of flower is planted in each pavilion. Spring corresponds to plum blossoms, oleander for Summer, osmanthus for Autumn and wintersweet for Winter. Take a loved one here for a pleasant walk, and bask in the pleasant natural breeze.

Nanchan Temple was built in 782 during China’s Tang Dynasty, and Great Buddha Hall is the oldest timber-frame building in China. It is one of the most important temples in China because of its historically and culturally significant Tang sculptures, as well as its representation of Chinese architecture. If you want to get a view of the whole temple and Wuxi City, climbing the pagoda is a good idea. The pagoda retained its steep, rickety stairs with low doorways and ceilings, so you could experience a glimpse of the monasterial life too.
