The vast display of life-size terracotta warriors and horses all arranged in battle formation are the stars of the museum, and represent the imperial guard troops who were tasked to protect and fight for the first emperor of the first unified dynasty of Imperial China. This museum is also an ongoing archaeological site and work continues to unearth and restore the terracotta figures to their former glory.
