Designer's Note
“Riverside 66 is a popular destination situated close to the busy Heping Road Pedestrian Street in Tianjin City. Located on the ground floor, our store has a large space with high ceiling and two entrances. These conditions allowed us to realize our idea of installing an entire house within the store.
The house is fully dedicated to the kitchen area and is made of thousands of Chemex-shaped plates that are attached to each other to form the walls and roof. The seating area was designed in its simplest linear form, running freely up and down around the kitchen area, subtly enhancing the heart of the store. The two core elements of the design, the house and the seating area, feature the iconic white color, a signature of % Arabica. This makes the store stand out, with the surroundings becoming a complementary background of light gray concrete, offering a clear and pleasant contrast to the white kitchen.”
