ZiWU is more than a simple bookstore. It is more like an artist's studio, filled with art works, photography books and fashion magazines. It has a vast collection of domestic and international art books and magazines that you can peer through. An elegant PixCell Deer wrapped with large and small glass balls by Kohei Nawa stands in the center of the hall. Famous photographer Erwin Olaf’s portrait work for Vogue hangs in the fashion book area, while the second floor has a small photography exhibition. It is quite the destination for the visual art lovers of the world.

Yè Shanghai is in one of Xintiandi's Shikumen houses. The restaurant aims to restore the stylish and alluring Shanghai night vibe of the past. It retained the original beams and skylignts of Shikumen, decorated with red, round pendant lamps. When night falls, the lights come out, and Shanghai nightlife begins. It mainly serves modern-style Shanghai cuisine, but combined with influences of Zhejiang and Jiangsu cuisine, using fresh ingredients like Zhejiang Anji’s free-range chicken and spring bamboo. On the weekends, it also has nightly live jazz performances to captivate you as you enjoy your meal.

Shikumen Open House Museum

Shikumen Open House Museum is a small museum in Xintiandi. It is the perfect place to peek into Shanghai's cultural history. Shikumen means stone-gate house, which is an architecture style combined with Chinese and Western style. It portrays typical 19th century middle class domestic life. In this three-story Shikumen house, there are also antiques and furnitures from the time.
