Designer's Note
“Situated in the Central Business District, a hub for major corporations and financial institutions, this store is designed to open in an office lobby with convenient access to Telok Ayer MRT, Chinatown MRT, and Raffles Place MRT.
The space features dual-facing elements: one side opens toward the lobby, oriented for coffee service, while the other side, facing the drop-off area, highlights Chemex shelves, the global map, and jute bags displayed as tapestries—elements that distinctly represent % Arabica identity.
To emphasize % Arabica’s unique identity within a compact setting, the design incorporates a rhythmic arrangement of wooden strips from the office lobby, blending seamlessly to create a harmonious and cohesive corner of the lobby.”
