Designer's Note
To start with the redesign process of the store, we embarked on a journey to find a new approach to reimagine the store layout. We ultimately decided on delineating the space horizontally by dividing the site into three areas: the stool seating for the customers, the central pathway and the large kitchen space in the back.
For the façade, we took advantage of the store’s openness. The four clear sides of the store are installed with rotating chemex systems that allow customers to interact and be playful with the pieces. Additionally, we integrated folding tables into the back wall, distinguished by the subtle yet eye-catching ‘%’ symbols placed as a hint.
The materials were carefully curated to maintain transparency and exhibit a sense of spaciousness while also preserving the visibility of neighboring establishments. Lastly, the gradient effect applied to the Chemex plates increases the sparkle and shine further captivating our customers and adding to the allure of the façade.***
