Designer's Note
“This new % Arabica shop is conceived as a seamless collaboration with Assouline Books. Located within the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre in Kuwait City, the location features a glass wall that blurs the line between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The journey begins as visitors go through a shaded and relaxing garden, as an immersive entrance to % Arabica experience.
Inside, the design takes on a refined simplicity: ceilings and walls are clad in a paper-like fabric with a soft, cream-white hue, providing a backdrop for the colorful Assouline book covers, which fills the space with vibrant colour hues.
Surrounded by books, the art of coffee-making takes the center stage, with the preparation area integrated into the bookstore-like setting. Here, the baristas, always the stars of the %Arabica experience, elevate coffee-making to a performance art.
Custom-designed chairs and lamps contribute to the inviting atmosphere, encouraging guests to relax, browse, and fully savour the % Arabica coffee aroma and smells of freshly brewed coffee.
