In October 2011 a historic market opened its gates again in Kreuzberg’s Eisenbahnstraße – precisely 120 years after its original opening. Make sure to visit “Street Food Thursday”. The various stalls compete with each other with their culinary delicacies, but it's the visitors who are the winners. Excerpt from the menu: British pies, Thai tapioca dumplings, Mexican tacos, Allgäu cheese spaetzle or Nigerian FuFu. The "Breakfast Market" is held every third Sunday of the month. Everything you need to prepare breakfast is on offer here featuring various delights associated with breakfast, all sorts of goodies from local producers, cooks and pastry chefs that are available to be tasted all day. Besides the events, Market Hall Nine hosts food festivals like "Stadt Land Food" as well as the "Berlin Coffee Festival", the "Cheese Festival" and the "Wurst&Bier" (Sausages and Beer).

Kreuzberg neighborhood illustrate Berlin’s transformative power like the vibrant creative-hub, where Freunde von Freunden’s has created the latest metamorphosis - a charming industrial style factory space that celebrates the global creative community. Freunde von Freunden Friends Space envisions a new space for not only the creative offices — but for their community and partners as well. With architect Philipp Mainzer, FvF set to design the 350 square meter space in a way that would enable the philosophy of FvF to grow. The design driven platform shaped by the global Freunde von Freunden connections and a desire to see them grow through dialogues with new and old friends.
